Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual awakening and enlightenment seem to be part of religious practices. Spiritual awakening is a religious experience where the person who is enlightened had contact with the divine and supernatural. It has been part of different traditions and practices, encompassing different religions.

Enlightenment is subjective since it fits on the individual's perception and understanding divinity and religion. It is also something which other people who do not share the same views may find different and sometimes frightening. Even though different religions have a different understanding of the divine and supreme being, awakening experiences seem to have commonalities, as well as their differences.

Different religions and traditions share that spiritual awakening and other religious experiences include the person to detach from the world and unite with God or gods and goddesses. The person would have a deeper connection to the world after the awakening. They would also attain innate knowledge and understanding of the world and other people.

Spiritual awakenings are not only experienced through religious activities and methods. It can also be experienced through peak experiences, life and death experiences and situations, psychic openings, and past life experience. Those who have awakened would say that they would experience physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual changes and difficulties. But the awakening, even with its turmoil and difficulty, has bee called blissful by some people.

It is a personal transformation and the awakened can experience different changes in their actions, habits, and way of life.

William James in The Varieties of Religious Experience, states that a spiritual awakening brings certainty and insight to the truth which is unfathomable by usual sensory and intellectual means. The experience can change the outer behavior, attitude, character, and outlook of the person who has experienced the awakening.

For example, people who have a spiritual awakening would experience sudden waves of emotions. Food intolerances and allergies develop after the religious experience. Some traditions say that because the human mind and body are opening to the divine and the spiritual, it gets more sensitive. Getting more sensitive means that your body can have a lower tolerance level to some things compared to how it was before the religious journey and completion.

The senses are high and can be extra-sensitive. Enlightened people would see auras around living things and some glittery particles. The colors would appear more vivid and even see shapes and brilliant colors with eyes closed. Hearing is also sharper than before. But some would testify that they would experience a decrease in hearing since they would hear a different kind of sounds and have difficulty identifying the different sounds.

Smell, taste, and touch are also enhanced. Which is why some would be sensitive to food and smell. Rashes can happen on the skin that can happen at the same time with healing moments or completion of some memories or anything that could have happened in the past.

There would also be moments when the awakened person would feel a sudden rush of power. Some people would say that they would experience hotness running from their head to toe, while there are others who would say the feeling was cold.

Just to stress on the point, the transformation that a person undergoes upon a spiritual awakening depends on how they see and understand divinity and religion. Not all of these personal transformations could happen to everybody who has experienced enlightenment. In some religions, some of these transformations are not acceptable while other traditions and religions would foresee these transformations essential.

Get Lucky

Ready to get lucky? There are many very specific techniques for generating luck in your life. One of the simplest is to just start looking for good luck. Yes, it really can be as simple as that.

Maybe you have noticed that when you buy a new car, you start to see similar cars all over? Of course, they were there before, but now you are seeing them because you are looking. It works this way with luck too. Start looking for luck and you’ll find it. Start counting the ways you are already lucky, and you’ll have even more luck.

Get Lucky Today

Some will tell you that God or the universe brings luck into your life once there’s gratitude in your heart. It’s a nice thought, but not my style. A less spiritual explanation is that when you acknowledge luck, and you look for more, you create a certain frame of mind. This frame of mind helps you take advantage of opportunities you might otherwise not recognize.

For example, if you are looking for a job, and a friend mentions a new business in town that is hiring, you might usually think nothing of it. Now, if you were watching for luck, and grateful for the good luck you’ve seen in your life, you might be more likely to check it out, right. A few weeks later you may be working for this company, making more money and saying “Boy did I get lucky.”

You’ve probably heard the saying, “If life gives you lemons, make lemonade?” This describes the frame of mind of a lucky person. Just seeing how lucky you are, even in small ways, makes the possibility of good luck more real to you, and this gets you watching. The watching gets you thinking, “How is this lucky for me? What can I do with this situation? How can I make lemonade from these lemons?”

Start counting the ways you are lucky in life, and the first thing you’ll notice is that you feel better. A sense of gratitude is good for your soul, even if you’re not religious. Start watching for more good luck, and it won’t be your imagination when you start to get lucky.

Thought as a Vibration Toward Manifestation

THE Universe is governed by Law – one great Law. Its manifestations are multiform, but viewed from the Ultimate there is but one Law. We are familiar with some of its manifestations but are almost totally ignorant of certain others. Still, we are learning a little more every day – the veil is being gradually lifted.

We speak learnedly of the Law of Gravitation but ignore that equally wonderful manifestation, THE LAW OF ATTRACTION IN THE THOUGHT WORLD.

We are familiar with that wonderful manifestation of Law which draws and holds together the atoms of which matter is composed – we recognize the power of the law that attracts bodies to the earth, that holds the circling worlds in their places, but we close our eyes to the mighty law that draws to us the things we desire or fear, that makes or mars our lives.

When we come to see that Thought is a force – a manifestation of energy – having a magnet-like power of attraction, we will begin to understand the why and wherefore of many things that have heretofore seemed dark to us. There is no study that will so well repay the student for his time and trouble as the study of the workings of this mighty law of the world of Thought – the Law of Attraction.

When we think we send out vibrations of a fine ethereal substance, which are as real as the vibrations manifesting light, heat, electricity, magnetism. That these vibrations are not evident to our five senses is no proof that they do not exist. A powerful magnet will send out vibrations and exert a force sufficient to attract to itself a piece of steel weighing a hundred pounds, but we can neither see, taste, smell, hear nor feel the mighty force.

These thought vibrations, likewise, cannot be seen, tasted, smelled, heard nor felt in an ordinary way; although it is true there are on record cases of persons peculiarly sensitive to psychic impressions who have perceived powerful thought-waves, and very many of us can testify that we have distinctly felt the thought vibrations of others, both whilst in the presence of the sender and at a distance. Telepathy and its kindred phenomena are not idle dreams.

Light and heat are manifested by vibrations of a far lower intensity than those of Thought, but the difference is solely in the rate of vibration. The annals of science throw an interesting light upon this question. Prof. Elisha Gray, an eminent scientist, says in his little book, “The Miracles of Nature”:

“There is much food for speculation in the thought that there exist sound-waves that no human ear can hear, and color-waves of light that no eye can see. The long, dark, soundless space between 40,000 and 400,000,000,000,000 vibrations per second, and the infinity of range beyond 700,000,000,000,000 vibrations per second, where light ceases, in the universe of motion, makes it possible to indulge in speculation.”

M. M. Williams, in his work entitled “Short Chapters in Science,” says:

“There is no gradation between the most rapid undulations or tremblings that produce our sensation of sound, and the slowest of those which give rise to our sensations of gentlest warmth.

There is a huge gap between them, wide enough to include another world of motion, all lying between our world of sound and our world of heat and light; and there is no good reason whatever for supposing that matter is incapable of such intermediate activity, or that such activity may not give rise to intermediate sensations, provided there are organs for taking up and sensifying their movements.”

I cite the above authorities merely to give you food for thought, not to attempt to demonstrate to you the fact that thought vibrations exist.

The last-named fact has been fully established to the satisfaction of numerous investigators of the subject, and a little reflection will show you that it coincides with your own experiences.

Don't let fear block all your manifestations!

It is alright to be afraid, but you don't have to be afraid of being afraid. That's what usually stops you.

Let yourself dive into the fear, process it, and then you will know through your feelings, through your emotionality, what it is about yourself that you have been taught to separate, to segregate, and what you can bring back and absorb and integrate within you.

More often than not, you do not allow yourselves to feel, or to be in touch with feelings that would help you integrate yourself, because you are afraid of being afraid.

You remove yourself two steps beyond the original feeling. You can be afraid and still do anything you want. Being afraid does not stop you from doing what you want.

Being afraid of being afraid stops you. Understand the difference. Just being afraid about something directly does not ever stop you from doing what you want.

What is fear? According my good friend Esther Hicks, she said fear is me looking at something that I don't want and my inner being refusing to go there with me.

The feeling of fear, or any negative emotion, is me looking at something and my inner being saying "you can look, dear one, but I'm not going to look, I'm going to stay over here with your dream. I'm going to stay over here and tend to the dream and the only reason that you're feeling that fear is because you're not tending to your dream. So, come over here with me."

And you say "no, I'm dedicated to fear." And your inner being says "come over here, this is where you really are, this is who you've become, come over here." And you say "no, I'm going to stay over here and be afraid."

So you have to say "my fear is natural given the thoughts I'm thinking and I can't control the conditions that I'm afraid of, but I can control my attention to them."

You're not feeling fear because the condition exists, you're feeling fear because you're looking at the condition activated in your vibration and causing contradiction in your own energy stream. You don't feel fear because there are bad things out there and you know that because bad things were out there before you knew about them and you didn't feel fear.
