The Law of Attraction is a great way to start to accomplish your dreams and make your potential successes come true. However, it is possible to overdo it when first getting involved with the Law of Attraction. Many people think that they can simply will their achievements into existence, but it isn’t that easy. You must take a methodical, reasonable approach when using the Law of Attraction to help yourself become successful.

 

A very common mistake that people make with the Law of Attraction is that of thinking too big. Yes, it is important to remain positive and believe that you succeed in anything you put your mind to, but you shouldn’t set yourself up for failure. If you’ve never played the piano before, you’re not going to be writing a symphony within a week. You need to set reasonable expectations and put yourself on a schedule that will help you to learn to do the things you are setting out to do. Use positive thinking as a way to encourage yourself to keep trying to achieve the things that you dream of. However, don’t tell yourself that you’ll be a millionaire in the next few years. Instead, tell yourself that you’ll be gaining the skills and abilities required to be successful.

 

Stubbornness is another common mistake when it comes to the Law of Attraction. Just because you tell yourself that you’re going to be successful doesn’t mean that it’s going to happen in the exact way that you are expecting. Don’t get down on yourself or become frustrated when things don’t go your way. Every failure is a learning experience. The Law of Attraction doesn’t guarantee that you’ll never fail, but what it does do is prepare you to be more able to handle these failures and turn them into successes. Rigidity is a negative trait, so make sure to shed that philosophy if you plan on using the Law of Attraction to make your life better.

 

Many people jump into the Law of Attraction with unrealistic goals. As we’ve mentioned, it’s important to keep your head on straight and set realistic expectations. You don’t want to lie to yourself by using the Law of Attraction. If you haven’t yet become a great musician, you don’t want to tell yourself “I’m a great musician.” Rather, you want to harness positive energy and tell yourself “I’m on my way to becoming a great musician” or “This learning process is a positive and beneficial experience.” The Law of Attraction isn’t about making things up. Rather, it’s about letting yourself know that there is a process in place and that you are capable of carrying it out. Don’t try to break the laws of physics or biology – simply try to give yourself the tools necessary to help you achieve your goals and become independently successful.

What Does It Mean To Be Yourself?


In a society driven by image and success, learning how to be yourself is one of the most difficult things you'll ever do. Sharing personal challenges and insights from her book "Illusion," Carly Sotas explores how the fear of not being good enough prevents us from making an impact and achieving our dreams.

Carly Sotas is the author of Illusion, a non-fiction book that explores questions of identity, happiness, and success. As a teenager, Carly read magazines for advice on how to be successful and confident but was left feeling discouraged and inadequate, because the lifestyle presented seemed unattainable. Motivated by a desire to start a more relatable and authentic conversation, Carly wrote Illusion, sharing her struggles in hopes of letting other young people know that they are not alone in the challenges they face and in their desire to pursue their dreams. With a passion for youth development and education, Carly serves as the co-program director of Vancouver’s Heart of the City Piano Program, a music education program that provides accessible music lessons to underserved youth. She is also the co-founder of the Pencils of Promise chapter at The University of British Columbia, the global education organization to which she is donating the proceeds from Illusion.

Facts About Chakra Awakening

Chakra awakening is highly a debatable topic, with two distinctly different schools of thought. The answer could be, Yes or No, depending upon which school of thought you are trained in.


Firstly, let’s cover the side that would say, Yes to helping you share the experience of Chakra awakening. There is no shortage of detailed information, made available by enlightened Yoga enthusiasts like Anodea Judith.


Anodea Judith has made a Chakra balancing kit available, which gives a tour of the seven main Chakra system, detailed exercises, meditations, a workbook, and the path to Chakra awakening. She also has more books available, confers with other enlightened Yoga enthusiasts, and teaches workshops on this very subject.


There are many other books and CD’s on this subject by a variety of knowledgeable authors and enlightened Yoga practitioners. All of this information is easy for the public to “get their hands on.” So, here is a school of thought that believes this information should be shared and has gone out of its way to mass produce this information.


On the other hand, some Yoga teachers do not want the negative and positive qualities, within each Chakra, to be casually explored by students, without a competent Yoga teacher present. This is with the student’s safety in mind.


Furthermore, the amount of previous Yoga experience a student has is a factor in being able to control emotions, such as fear, lust, anger, and depression that can come boiling to the surface as a result of a Chakra awakening.


When, or if, a student is ready for Chakra awakening, should be determined by the teacher; this is not for every student. Some students put pressure on themselves, which may lead to anxiety, causing negative qualities of the Chakras to surface, during an awakening.


In summary: One of the results of steady Yoga training is that we can get a better handle on our emotions than most. We also realize that we are not enlightened or perfect all the time. If you want to experience Chakra awakening with an enlightened Yoga enthusiast, you should seek out a competent Yoga teacher, who is willing to help you.


You could also get similar guidance from a Reiki teacher or Reiki master. Reiki teachers are very familiar with the Chakra system and very helpful. If it is not possible to work with a Reiki master, and you have been regularly practicing Yoga for at least two years, the Chakra balancing kit, I mentioned above, gives you step-by-step guidance toward awakening the Chakras.


Lastly, this is not a race, and please don’t put pressure on yourself toward self-perfection.

Achieving Spiritual Abundance

Spiritual abundance might sound like a phrase that's hard to decipher. Is it talking about being a very spiritual person, more abundantly spiritual than others? Actually, the ability to tap into your deepest inner self while allowing the universe to provide for your needs is a good definition.


We are all spiritual beings. Whether you're religious or you do anything spiritual on a day to day basis or not, you have a spiritual side. Some people define their spirituality with a religion, while others believe that our connection to the world around us and nature defines that side of ourselves.


Regardless of how you define it, you can gain a better understanding of your spiritual self and your ability to achieve spiritual abundance by following a few basic steps.


Attracting abundance and attracting prosperity are basically the same thing. And the first step to achieving them is by believing that it's possible. For some, this is the hardest thing to learn about spiritual abundance because they have been conditioned to believe that it's so difficult to get anywhere in life.


Positive thinking and positive visualization follow the principle that if you picture something and believe that it's possible, you can make it happen in your life. It's necessary to learn to do this when it comes to success, your financial situation, and any situation in your life you want to change with spiritual abundance.


If you cannot picture yourself with a large bank account, with bills that are paid, with no debt or less debt, you won't attract those things to you. But abundance can be yours if you'll learn to first decide what it is that you want and then decide that it can be yours.


Some people write checks to themselves. Some people use a fake million dollar bill. But they focus on these things, they look at them frequently sometimes several times a day and they learn to believe that they will have these things.


The law of abundance basically teaches you to tap into the power of your mind and your beliefs to achieve your dreams. It is positive thinking and positive visualization amplified and focused to an even sharper point. Instead of just feeling positive in general, you'll use that positive feeling toward a specific thing.


If you want to get out of debt, pay off your car or your house, or afford a vacation, you will need a specific amount of money to do those things. And it may seem like too large an amount of money. You might think that there's no way you can get that much money for those things any time soon.


Instead, you see months, maybe years, of scraping and sacrificing other things in order to be able to afford it. Because you can picture that and you believe it, you ensure it will happen that way.


Shift your thinking instead to see yourself effortlessly coming into the money to enable these things in your life, and you will attract spiritual abundance.

When you spend time doing things you really love, you automatically feel happier. When you feel happier, you emit more positive vibrations, and attract the things you want more quickly and easily! Start spending more time doing the things you really love. This can include hobbies as well as transitioning to a more fulfilling career.


Prosperity Tip #2 – Affirm You Always Have More Than Enough

The more you focus on lack, the more lack you will experience in your life. Turn this around by constantly affirming, “I always have more than enough money for everything I need.” The more strongly you can come to believe this, the more your physical surroundings will shift to match your expectations.


Prosperity Tip #3 – Take Action

Action isn’t always necessary in order to attract abundance into your life, but it sure doesn’t hurt. Don’t sit around waiting for your circumstances to change – get out there and change them! Taking even one small step toward what you want can often trigger a flood of opportunities and synchronicities that get everything moving in a more positive direction. At the very least, taking action can boost your confidence and make you feel more in control of your circumstances.
